Poligon — Privacy Policy
Poligon does not collect, transmit or store any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no server of ours for it to talk to. Everything you make stays on your iPad and in whatever location you choose to save it.
If you never use the share sheet, Poligon never sends a single byte anywhere.
Effective date: 19 August 2026 Last updated: 19 August 2026 Applies to: Poligon for iPadOS (all versions) Provider: zortproductions
1. What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, receive or process any of the following:
| Category | Collected? |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, phone number, postal address | No |
| Account credentials or any login of any kind | No |
| Contacts, calendars, reminders, photos, health or fitness data | No |
| Precise or coarse location | No |
| Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV), advertising identifiers | No |
| Usage analytics, session recordings, crash telemetry | No |
| Your artwork, models, palettes or project files | No |
| Payment or financial information | No |
| Search history or browsing history | No |
Poligon contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no third-party libraries that transmit data. It ships with no networking code for sending your content anywhere.
Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for us to sell, share, disclose, breach or hand over. There is no data of yours in our possession to request access to or deletion of.
2. Where your work lives
Poligon is a document-based app. Your projects are .poligon packages, plus whatever you export (PNG, GIF, sprite sheets, .aseprite, glTF, OBJ, USDZ).
- On your device. Files you save go to the location you pick in the iOS Files interface — your iPad's local storage, iCloud Drive, or another storage provider you have installed.
- We cannot see them. If you save to iCloud Drive, that is a transfer between you and Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. If you save to a third-party provider, that provider's terms apply. Poligon is not a party to either.
- Sharing is always your action. The share sheet only runs when you tap Export and choose a destination. Where the file goes from there is governed by whatever app or service you hand it to.
On-device processing only. Every feature — drawing, UV unwrapping, 3D painting, PSX rendering, and every import and export — runs locally on your iPad. Nothing is uploaded for processing. There is no cloud rendering, no server-side conversion and no AI generation.
3. Permissions Poligon asks for
Poligon requests no system permissions. It does not ask for the camera, microphone, photo library, location, contacts, notifications, Bluetooth, local network access, or tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency), because it does not use any of them.
The only system surfaces it touches are the ones you invoke directly:
- Files — to open and save documents you choose.
- Share sheet — to hand an exported file to another app, at your request.
- Apple Pencil and touch input — processed in memory, never recorded or transmitted.
4. Tracking
Poligon does not track you. We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and we do not share any data with data brokers, ad networks or analytics vendors. The app's PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking as false and lists no collected data types and no tracking domains.
5. What Apple sees
Poligon is sold on the App Store. Your purchase, download and, if you contact Apple about it, your support interaction are handled by Apple, not by us.
Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymised App Store reports (unit sales by country, crash counts, aggregate impression and conversion figures). These reports contain no information that identifies you and are generated by Apple, not collected by the app. Apple's handling of your App Store data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Poligon is a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no payment information ever passes through the app.
6. Children
Poligon is a creative tool suitable for general audiences and is rated accordingly. It collects no data from anyone, including children, and contains no user-generated-content feed, no chat, no social features, no external links to unmoderated content, and no advertising. Because we collect nothing, we cannot knowingly or unknowingly collect information from a child under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction).
7. Your rights
Privacy laws including the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), LGPD (Brazil) and Türkiye's KVKK (Law No. 6698) grant rights over personal data a company holds about you — access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and the right not to have your data sold.
We hold no personal data about you. There is nothing to access, correct, delete, port or object to. Should this ever change, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect, and the legal basis and retention period for any processing will be stated here explicitly.
Deleting the app removes it and its sandboxed contents from your device. Documents you saved elsewhere (iCloud Drive, On My iPad, another provider) are yours to keep or delete; we have no access to them and no ability to remove them.
8. Security
Because no data leaves your device by default, the main safeguards are the ones iPadOS provides: app sandboxing, file-system protection, and device encryption when you have a passcode set. We recommend keeping a passcode enabled and iPadOS up to date.
Poligon has no login, so there is no password of yours for anyone to steal from us.
9. Third-party services
Poligon integrates no third-party services, SDKs or APIs that process your data. It uses only Apple's own frameworks (SwiftUI, Metal, ImageIO, Compression, UniformTypeIdentifiers), which run entirely on-device.
Interoperability with other tools — Aseprite, Blender, Godot, Unity and similar — is file-format compatibility only. Poligon reads and writes standard file formats. It does not connect to, communicate with, or send anything to those products or their makers.
10. Changes to this policy
If Poligon ever gains a feature that involves data leaving your device, this policy will be updated before that version ships, the change will be described in the app's release notes, and the app will ask for your explicit consent in-app before any such feature is used.
We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever this document changes.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy, or about privacy in Poligon:
zortproductions — Istanbul, Turkey contact@zortproductions.com
Poligon is made by one person. No account, no cloud, no AI, no tracking — not as a feature, but because the app genuinely does not need any of it to do its job.
